5K, 10K, Fun Run

Many thanks to the 2010 race participants and sponsors.
Plans are underway for our
10th Anniversary Run in 2011

RECORDS FALL AT 2010 Run the River 5K/10K
Not only was a new attendance record set at the event this year, several other records were broken.

Sixteen year old Ryan Doyle of Roswell returned to defend his '09 5K record (16:28) and not only repeated as the overall winner but set a new course record of 16:08.

A newcomer to our event, Hailey Branch (14) of Atlanta broke the 5K overall female record with a strong 18:51.

In the masters category, Brad Slavens (41) of Atlanta returned to defend his '09 master win by shattering his old record by 2 minutes, finishing in 37:33.

And as an inspiration to us all, 80-year old Clarence Hartley of Young Harris broke the Georgia 10K age group record.  Not only did he better the previous record by over 30 minutes, he finished 155th in a field of over 400 with a time of 54:45.  Mr. Hartley currently holds several other GA age group records.
